Focus Area: Mindfulness
Overview: The Applied Mindfulness Process Scale (AMPS) is used by clinicians providing mindfulness-based interventions and it looks at a person's daily mindfulness practices when faced with difficult situations. Three areas that it looks at are decentering and positive and negative emotional regulation. It is helpful to track frequency of mindfulness practices over the course of therapy.

Reliability/Validity: The AMPS has shown good internal consistency. Cronbach's Alpha was found to be 0.91-0.94. It has also shown adequate nomological validity with related constructs.
