Manage Your Blueprint Notification Settings [Clients]

Choose how you receive Blueprint Assessment and Check-in reminders -- text, email, push, or all three!

Updated over 3 months ago

In this article we'll go over how to access your Blueprint notification settings and how to manage them.

Important Notes

  • Push notifications can only be managed within the Blueprint mobile app, not the Blueprint client website.

  • If push notifications are turned on, you must also have notifications enable for Blueprint in your phone settings. Click here to learn how to do so for iPhone and Android.

What are the ways I can receive notifications from Blueprint?

Delivery Method

Explanation

Notes

Push

An alert (typically a pop-up or banner) on your smart phone that's generated by an app.

For push notifications to work, you must also have notifications enable for the Blueprint app enabled in your phone settings.

Email

An email delivered to the address your clinician has on your profile.

Text

A text message delivered to the phone number your clinician has on your profile.

Here is what each of these delivery methods could look like when received on your phone:

How to manage your Blueprint Notification preferences in the Blueprint mobile app

  1. Login to the Blueprint mobile app or the Blueprint client website

  2. Tap the settings icon (the gear in the lower right)

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Set your delivery preferences for Assessments and Check-ins

πŸ’‘Assessments are validated symptom rating scales (such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7). Your Clinician will choose which Assessments they'd like you to complete, as well as the frequency they'll be administered to you.

πŸ’‘Check-ins are a way for you to touch base with your Clinician by recording thoughts and/or feelings outside of official Assessments, and usually done on a more frequent basis. Unlike Assessments, if your Clinician has assigned you a Check-In, you can set your own preferred frequency to complete them.

FAQ

  1. Q: I'd like to receive notifications via text, but I'm unable to toggle it on -- help!

A: If you are unable to toggle on text notifications, you'll want to contact your clinician so they can add a cell phone number to your Blueprint profile. This can only be done on their end.

  2. Q: My push notifications aren't coming through even though I have them turned on in the settings of my Blueprint app.

A: It's possible that you have Blueprint push notifications blocked or turned off in your phone settings, despite having them enabled in the Blueprint app itself. Click here to learn how to turn them on for iPhones and for Androids.
