Brief Description
The Patient Satisfaction Index (PSI) assessment is a 1 question survey that assesses your client’s satisfaction with their last appointment. The question asks, “How satisfied are you with your last appointment?” on a scale from Not at all Satisfied to Very Satisfied; clients may also select Not Applicable (e.g., haven’t had an appointment yet).

The PSI assessment contains 1 question scored on a 4-point Likert scale with values from 1 (“Not at all satisfied”) to 4 (“Very Satisfied”); if they select “Not applicable,” it will be scored as a 0.

This assessment can be used to track your client’s satisfaction with treatment throughout therapy. If ratings are low, you may want to consider administering a therapeutic alliance measure and/or having a discussion about reasons for dissatisfaction as dissatisfaction with treatment may inhibit progress.
